Voiture de location à l’aéroport Marrakech-Ménara — Familiales

Renting a car in Morocco is easy with the right papers. Here is what to bring, whether you are a tourist, a Moroccan living abroad or a resident.

The basics

A valid driving licence, an ID (passport for foreign visitors, national ID card for residents) and the payment method for the deposit. Keep these with you throughout the rental: they may be requested at a roadside check.

International driving permit

Foreign licences are generally accepted for a tourist stay. An international permit is recommended if your licence is not in Latin script or not in card format. Check with your country’s authority before you travel.

Age, licence history and deposit

Minimum age, required licence history and deposit amount depend on the agency and car category. At Smooth Drive Rentals these conditions are confirmed on WhatsApp before handover, so there are no surprises.

During the rental

Keep the vehicle papers handed over at delivery (registration, insurance certificate, contract) in the car. At a police or gendarmerie check, show them with your licence and ID.
